DYNAMIC FIREWORKS VISIT RAF MARHAM
Posted April 10th, 2012
We here at Dynamic Fireworks have a long standing friendship with the guy’s and girls of No.II AC Squadron based at RAF Marham, and have provided many firework displays over the years, and this year is much the same, we’ll go into more details about that later.
As with any Military base security is of high importance, but once we passed through security we headed over to No.II AC Squadron’s head-quarters, the walls of which were filled with medals and pictures going back over the years. Showing the old planes the used right the way through to the Tornado’s of today.
We were given a tour of the hangers and planes, these Tornado’s on maximum re-burn only have enough fuel to last 7 minutes, unfortunately at this speed the engine blows up after 5 minutes. Followed by a detailed briefing about the capabilities of the planes along with the type of armourments they use and carry. The tour of the hanger was followed by a detailed briefing some of the mission carried out, and footage of some of the missions they were part off.
During our lunch in the officers mess, we honoured some of our long serving operators with a gift and personalised photo book for their hard work over the years.
Our long serving awards went to:
Steven Beecroft – 20 years
Doug Porter – 20 years
Tom Staunton – 20 years
Colin Elmer – 10 years
Steve Faint – 10 years
Steve Murrow – 10 years
Gareth Multimer – 10 years
Julian Wood – 10 years
We also present Nick Tucker-Lowe of No.II AC Squadron with a firework montage to commemorate the connection between them and Dynamic Fireworks and to mark there upcoming 100th Anniversary Events.
